Food service is available during our open hours Fridays from 4–8 PM, and on Saturdays from 12–6 PM. In a small community with few dining options, we are proud to offer wholesome, locally inspired dishes that nourish and bring people together.

We will continue to offer delicious, local foods to our community year-round. We encourage you to pre-order local groceries online, drop by the North Stable to visit Troddenvale on Fridays and Saturdays this fall and winter.

Our rotating food menu is made in collaboration with Aaron Gardner of The Gardner’s Harvest from Swoope, Virginia. The weekly menu highlights local ingredients, sourced primarily from the farmers we already partner with for Foodlore Provisions. We are so grateful to have Aaron’s support in making such thoughtful food possible to share with visitors in the stable alongside our ciders and wines.

What to Expect
Food and beverage available for purchase and consumption on site. To-go items also available.
No outside food or drink allowed.
No dogs or pets allowed.
BYO-Blanket and Chairs. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options available, but we also encourage you to bring a blanket and picnic on the lawn.
Foodlore Fridays is a family friendly event held on a working farm. Please be aware that the fences around the farm are electric. Please avoid wandering beyond event perimeter.
No outside alcoholic drinks are allowed due to Virginia ABC Law. Alcoholic drinks are sold by Troddenvale. Please drink responsibly, and watch out for your neighbors.
